The study analyzes the impact of the implementation of the Nespresso AAA Sustainable QualityTM code of conduct on the living conditions of coffee growers in four departments (Antioquia, Caldas, Cauca, Nariño, Huila) in the period 2009-2011. It was based on the guidelines of the COSA international methodology and used multivariate analysis techniques to build indices of social, economic and environmental sustainability. The information was obtained from a sample of 1,785 producers to which this sustainability monitoring index was applied to measure the performance of the AAA farms compared to that of the control sample.
