CRECE helps create a more efficient, sustainable, profitable and resilient economy for Colombia's agricultural sector.
We do this by generating knowledge that can help guide the decisions, design and implementation of the long-term objectives of national and regional development actors.
WE ARE INDEPENDENT, RIGOROUS AND OBJECTIVE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND ACTIONS
Our History
1985
Crater Arenas Eruption
Following the eruption of the Arenas crater, regional leaders began to recognize the weakness of the region in responding to its main economic and social development problems.
1986
CRECE
Thus, in 1986, it was decided to create an institution that would serve as a constant support in the formulation of economic and social policies and programs, based on ongoing research into regional problems.
We have become a diagnostic center, generating policies and offering a space for constant reflection on regional development.
